Tenants, Landlords, and Inequality: A Webinar

This webinar aims to introduce the concept of tenant organizing to people in Raleigh. Raleigh’s rental community makes up nearly half the population of the city. Soaring housing costs and the scramble for the ownership of debt as a means to future profits for investors and property owners have created an economic nightmare for workers that rent. We will look at some of the causes of these conditions, and talk about how tenants unions have helped people in other areas push back against gentrification, poor maintenance and rents that increase without rational bound.

This information session was a community event was organized by a team of people who are supporting Joshua Bradley for Raleigh City Council at Large. Guest presenters do not necessarily represent or endorse Josh’s campaign.
